Team Dynamics

Formation of team based on leadership, team name, team values, team flag with their own unique symbol and a haka war cry. Once we have established the formation of team, we can move all teams through the other three major stages of team development ie Storming, Norming and Performing. Every major process following this is designed to specifically draw out important lessons from each stage of the team’s transformation into a high performing team. Here, we can easily incorporate a tee-up for the relevant night activities as well.

Atlantis Escape

Take on the role of Indiana Jones’ protégé and discover the shocking dark secrets of the Lost City of Atlantis. Teams find themselves in an unfamiliar land where they have to unravel a challenging puzzle. Limited instructions are given and clues are communicated in a language most unfamiliar to all. This is one of the best problem solving and decision making activity where every member of the team holds a certain amount of information and together, they share their resources to finally arrive at the solution. How do they work as a team to get to the correct answer? Which information is useful, and which is not? How will they organize the information? What conclusion will they arrive at? Are they able to rationalize their answer? Can you and your team escape the King’s wrath by unravelling the riddle of the obelisk in time? The Atlantis Escape promotes effective communication and the concept of information sharing and filtering. It requires a high level of participation and rigor in solving the puzzle.

You have a limited amount of time to apprehend the thief. There are multiple suspects but who did it? How was the theft committed? And who is this person behind the mysterious The Dark Shadow? Are these crimes committed by the same person or are there copycats around? This activity connects team members to each other intricately by sharing specific information about the case. This is an activity designed for either virtual classes or traditional classroom setting.

Using a specially designed MIRO board, teams move around the entire virtual globe, looking for clues that will lead them from one destination to the next. Along their journey, they will earn points based on the sequence of destinations they travel to. They score additional points with multiple Pitstops, Side Quests, U-Turns, PopQuizes and a host of surprise elements. They get to enjoy Direct Flights, Speedtrain Rides and Express Cruises. There’s a Search For Pirate Black’s treasures using a ship! There’s even UFO hunting if they are up to the challenge! In Break Points, being street smart will see them through and onto their next destination. They get to see famous icons and landmarks, enjoy some local food and even catch a movie or two in Hollywood! They may even discover the exact location if they dig through the ground and show up at the other side of the world! With their AMIRO Passports, this will be the virtual race of a lifetime!

AMIRO Race can be customized for duration and number of participants in each experience, from a short 30 minutes engagement to a full-day spectrum of virtual fun and activities. AMIRO Race can also be scaled to cater from 10 to 1000 people at one go.

Just like in a reality show, when the Game Master calls for their votes in each round, teams will simultaneously display their votes. Based on the teams’ votes, some teams will earn certain profits and some will make certain losses for that round. To add tension to the game, there will be some Bonus Rounds. Through the game, they learn the concept of win-win, which allows not only the individual team to win but how all the other teams can win as well. This activity is engaging as it involves all participants to vote in the process. The debriefing is designed to highlight the benefits of a collaborative mindset versus the dangers of having a silo-mentality in the workplace. It stresses on thinking and behavior that will lead to better results in the workplace. After all, the total is always greater than the sum of all parts.
