2. Attract Through the Showroom Welcome
Practise relevant openings that give customers space to explain their purpose and earn permission to explore their needs.
Practice activity: Rehearse the first 60 seconds of a showroom conversation with different customer types.
3. Leverage Customer Needs
Use neutral questions to understand driving patterns, passengers, priorities, budget, financing, trade-in position, timing and decision makers.
Practice activity: Conduct a needs conversation in a consultant, customer and observer role play.
4. Present the Right Vehicle
Connect verified customer needs with approved vehicle information and explain suitable options in plain language.
Practice activity: Match responses to customer cases and deliver a five-minute needs-linked presentation.
Day 2: Present with Rapport, Handle Questions and Agree Action
Opening practice: ALPHA Automotive Pitch Clinic
Revisit the first three ALPHA stages, rebuild a customer conversation and refine one behaviour using peer feedback.
5. Present with Rapport and a Walkaround
Plan a walkaround and test-drive briefing around the customer’s priorities. Adapt the pace and detail in response to their questions and cues.
Practice activity: Deliver a buyer-led walkaround and test-drive briefing, with feedback on relevance, accuracy, listening, safety and understanding.
6. Handle Questions and Comparisons

Practice activity: Rehearse responses to customer questions through timed role plays.
7. Agree the Next Automotive Action
Select a next step that reflects the customer’s readiness and required checks. Agree what happens next, who is responsible and when it will happen.
