What the two-day programme covers
Day 1: Attract, Leverage and Present
1. ALPHA Sales Strategy
Learn the five ALPHA stages, identify where current conversations lose trust or momentum and set a practical behaviour goal.
Practice activity: Map and rebuild a banking conversation, identifying missing questions, product-match checks and controls.
2. Attract with a Relevant Hookline
Create short, permission-based openings linked to possible financial priorities. Use life-stage clues as a reason to ask, while allowing customers to confirm what matters to them.
Practice activity: Build and rehearse openings for customer situations such as starting work, family building, home ownership, business growth and retirement.
3. Leverage the Client Need
Explore what customers want to protect, achieve or avoid. Use neutral questions to understand their priorities and confirm the need in their own words.
Practice activity: Rehearse a fact-finding conversation with feedback on listening, questioning and avoiding premature product recommendations.
4. Present When the Client Is Ready
Compare verified needs with approved options, considering goals, affordability, time horizon, risk position, eligibility and required suitability checks.
Practice activity: Complete a match, refer or no-sale decision sheet and practise explaining the selected response.
Day 2: Present with Trust, Handle Questions and Agree Action
Opening practice: ALPHA Pitch Clinic
Rebuild a conversation from opening to presentation, share observations and refine one behaviour through peer feedback.
5. Present with Rapport
Use attentive listening, open posture and an appropriate pace to explain why an option matches the customer’s stated priority. Check in when customers show confusion or hesitation.
Practice activity: Review a needs-linked explanation and identify behaviours that support trust, clarity and space for the customer to respond.
6. Handle Client Questions
Clarify whether a concern relates to information, suitability, timing or a decision not to proceed. Practise acknowledging, exploring, responding and checking understanding.
Practice activity: Respond to customer objection cards through timed role plays using approved information.
7. Agree the Action
Agree an appropriate next step based on the customer’s readiness and eligibility. Practise clear follow-up agreements and voluntary referral requests.
Practice activity: Complete a final customer conversation role play and write a 30-day action commitment.
